Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and the profile information you choose to provide (username, display name). When you add measurements, we store only what you explicitly enter. We do not collect any data passively beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the ShareMyFit service — displaying your measurements to you and, based on your privacy settings, to others you choose to share with. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Privacy controls

You have full control over who can see each of your measurements. Each measurement can independently be set to Public (visible to anyone with the link), Shared (visible only to specific people you designate), or Private (visible only to you). You can change these settings at any time.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.

5. Cookies

We use cookies strictly for authentication purposes (to keep you logged in) and to remember your theme preference. We do not place third-party tracking or advertising cookies on your device.

6. Advertising and data use

ShareMyFit may display ads to support the free service. Here's what that means for your data:

• We may use anonymized, aggregated information — such as general fitness trends or broad demographic patterns — to show relevant ads. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
• We never sell your personal measurements, email address, or identifiable profile information to advertisers or any third party.
• We do not share your individual body measurements with advertising partners — ever. Your measurements are yours.
• If we work with advertising partners in the future, we will update this policy and give you clear notice before doing so.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your profile information in Settings, and permanently delete your account and all data from the Danger Zone section of Settings. For any other requests, contact us at the address below.
